Glowlab asks questions
new on Glowlab
Glowlab's J Gabriel Lloyd just returned from Burning Man, and we're eagerly awaiting his report. In the meantime, read about how he prepared for his journey as he pondered "the myth of garbage."
Independent curator Chris Balaschak, who recently produced the Itineraries show at Gallery Luisotti in Santa Monica, wrote an extensive essay to accompany the exhibition. It is being published for the first time here on Glowlab, in three parts. Here's part one.
Divestudio.org // D. Jean Hester // Press: RES Magazine (July/August 2004 Issue)
Jean says, "I'm pleased to be the subject of a short article in the current issue of RES magazine (July/August 2004, the "Resistance/All the Rage" issue). This issue deals with artist strategies for negotiating the current political climate, and has articles about Michael Moore's Farenheit 9/11, Cory Arcangel, Danger Mouse, Mark Allen (of LA's own C-Level and Machine Project), Alexei Shulgin, The Yes Men and others."
The article is at newsstands and her website.
