Determined to assert their dominance over the Department of Transportation, these little trees/weeds grow straight up through hollow signposts to reach the sunlight at the top.

I was touched by the image of this elderly man who posted a sign offering his handmade wooden toys for sale around the corner. He probably does this every weekend. With the opening happening later in the day, though, I had no time to go check them out.
