Participant Inc. announced as Conflux headquarters

Glowlab is delighted to announce that Participant Inc. will serve as the headquarters for the 2004 Conflux. Here are some photos of the gallery, and information about the organization. We look forward to seeing everyone there in May...

"The mission of PARTICIPANT INC is to serve artists through in-depth consideration, presentation, and the publishing of critical writing; and to introduce this work into public contexts through exhibitions, screenings, performances, and educational programs. The programming priorities of PARTICIPANT INC reflect the premise that artists produce significant work through an in-depth relationship with an organization whose focus is articulated through its committed collaborations with them.

PARTICIPANT INC is an educational corporation and not-for-profit art space, dedicated to the presentation of artists work in a flexible, experimental format. The mission of PARTICIPANT INC builds upon alternative space methodologies, particularly a commitment to interdisciplinary, intergenerational exhibition making, and an insistence upon placing together, in one space, work from various mediums encouraging the coexistence of visual, media, literary, and performing arts."

Participant Inc. is located at 95 Rivington Street between Orchard and Ludlow on New York's Lower East Side.
